Hello,

I recently purchased wireless headphones and tried to connect them via bluetooth to my asus x555l laptop. Well, it didn't go well. Or it didn't go period. The device could not be found when searching for it to pair and after watching countless tutorials in short this is the data:

*Bluetooth appearing on device manager as generic adapter- tried to update driver (atheros quadcom 4.0 indicated fully updated and an intel and windows built in check gave green light)- still same old nothing happened

*At no point did bluetooth support service appear in my services list even after trying a couple of fixes and ending up having a bluetooth device manager and a couple more bluetooth services (at first there were no services for my bluetooth)

*In an attempt to reinstall my bluetooth driver from scratch (didn't realise the stupidity of that idea at that point) I deleted my bluetooth device from the device manager (option given when right clicking and going for update check) and ended up not having wireless internet connection after rebooting system and, of course, not having the bluetooth in device manager anymore while still normally having the atheros wireless device still appearing the same.

Any ideas on solving the original problem of connecting the headphones to the laptop? (Fixed the internet by system reset and we are back to the original settings)
