I'm trying to connect my bluetooth headset (in this case a pair of wireless earbuds, Cambridge Audio Melomania) so that I can use it as both an audio receiver and a mic. This works fine when I connect to my phone.
Whenever I try and connect them through windows settings, and clicking add a device, the icon shown is the headset icon, with a mic line. Selecting the device and connecting to it then works fine. However, when I view audio devices, they show up as headphones only, there is no sign of them being a headset even though that was the icon originally. I can only change from my laptop speakers to my ear buds, and there is no option to change from the laptops built in mic.
I have tried forgetting and reconnecting the devices, doing it through control panel, looking for updated drivers, all to no avail.
