Bluetooth device connection help?

Whichever Bluetooth device (a Sony WH-CH720N or a "thecoopidea" CP-TW04) I try to connect to my Windows 11 device, I can't seem to play any sound through them. I manage to pair them properly, and they are registered as connected and recognized as a headset by my computer. But when I try to allow apps and Windows to play sound through this device, by clicking the "Allow" button depicted in the screenshot below, nothing happens, the button doesn't switch to "Don't Allow". Anyone know what this issue is?
