black screen with curser

i am running windows 10 with 2 monitors, i turned on my computer and one monitor is black the other is black screen with a curser that i can move around. only way to turn computer off is to hold power button down, i have no other options. i am trying to repair, uninstall updates etc, trying to load the repair options through a USB but when it comes up it wants a password, i don't have a password, i did log into the login screen with a pin but that pin does not work as a password,
