Black screen when charger is plugged

Hi, I recently purchased an ASUS ROG Strix G15 laptop. I've been experiencing an issue where whenever I plug in the charger, the screen turns black and becomes unresponsive. I've tried refreshing the graphics card, but that doesn't seem to solve the problem. However, when I remove the adapter, the screen goes back to normal. Additionally, if I plug in the charger before turning on the laptop, the screen doesn't respond at all. How can I prevent the screen from turning black when the charger is plugged in? Thank you!
