So, I have a PC with a 2 year-old installation of Windows 10 which has developed a weird issue. Every few seconds it makes a USB disconnect noise, and looking at Device Manager and USB Tree Viewer the problem is a USB Bluetooth adapter. It appears that it's not running, and having tried numerous fixes from Google I can't persuade it to run.The real problem, however, is that it doesn't exist! USB Tree Viewer suggests it's plugged straight into the PC, (I also have 3 hubs) but it simply isn't there.
