Bitlocker recovery key not working

I keep trying to put the recovery key but once i put it, it says my laptop has ran into an issue and that it will automatically restart. And once it restarts, it stays stuck on the hp logo and it just stays loading. Ive tried pressing F10 and every other F button every video out there has told me to press but either nothing works or I'm missing sections from there that the video says i need to click on. And then someone told me i need to do a factory reset but how if i can’t access the start menu? And now I don’t know what to do can someone please help? I don’t even know if I put this in the
