Bitlocker recovery key failure -- "Failed to unlock with this recovery key"

Can't do either of these without Bitlocker rejecting my recovery code. A. Enter Safe Mode. B. Enter "Reset this PC" after booting from a USB flash drive. Note: The code numbers were confirmed on a different laptop running Windows 10 with the same user. BitLocker Recovery KeysError Message: (When I tried this code on my failing computer.)"Failed to unlock with this recovery key."
