Bitlocker not accepting key and can't access laptop

[Windows Server]

I have had my new computer for only a few months, but suddenly I am now locked out with bitlocker requesting a recovery key. This I found on in my Microsoft account, however it's still not opening. I did try 'reset this PC' keep my files, but it tells me there was a problem and no changes were made.
