Bit locker key issue

Restared my HP laptop. Blue screen asking for bit locker recovery key. Insert the correct recovery key and once check is 100% complete, it returns to prompt to insert bit locker recovery key. It is a continuing cycle. Why may this be happening and is it recoverable?
