Bad/nonworking user name assigned

Last August (2024) I signed up for a trial period and was assigned a username for Microsoft 365 Business Basic (Global). A user name was assigned to me. That user name, ending in "onmicrosoft.com" NEVER worked. (see screenshot) I needed access to the software so I bought the annual subscription, when the trial period elapsed. The prior purchase was month to month. I am still being charged $6 month for an account I cannot access. And I can find NO one to talk to at Microsoft who can help.
