backuping xbox games

Hello i just have an question on how to backup xbox games on PC through that xbox app, how do i do it, i have here an external hard drive to transfer, i just moved lets say game sea of thieves on my backup drive, if i just do an clean install of windows and transfer it back the xbox app should recognize and save it right?
