I have Backup and Restore set to back up specific files and folders every week. It's been working fine for years, but after recently replacing one of my hard drives, every time I run the backup, no more than ten seconds goes by before I get a notification that the backup did not complete. The error I get says "The requested system device cannot be found" with error code 0x80073BC3.
Event Viewer shows the following warning when the backup fails:
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{C2F03A33-21F5-47FA-B4BB-156362A2F239}
and APPID

This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.
I also get the following error shortly after starting the backup:
Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error calling routine IVssAsrWriterBackup::GetVolumeComponents. hr = 0x80073bc3, The requested system device cannot be found.

I've made sure the Volume Shadow Copy, and Windows Backup Services are set properly, I used sfc /scannow to make sure everything was okay there, I've tried various different vssadmin commands that were suggested on other sites. I used Acronis VSS Doctor to see if it could help, and while some issues did show, I rectified them, and now I don't know what else to try.
My last successful backup was on 12/5. Last Thursday. The only significant change I've made since then was replacing one of my old Hard Disk Drives with a Solid State Drive, so that could be the issue, but I just don't know what else to try out to test it.
