To set the context and to avoid any ambiguity, I am listing down the type of media along with the tool being used to create them. A recovery disk is created using Windows MediaCreationTool. System Image is created using “Backup & Restore” à “Create a system image”. System Repair Disk is created using “Backup & Restore” à “Create a system repair disc”. My family owns multiple Windows laptops. As I purchase a new laptop, I am trying to understand which media to be created exclusively for the new laptop.
