background still won't change

I tried your suggestions and my desktop background won't change,I can change
solid colours but can't put up any pics...This is very frustrating!Is there a
check box somewhere that needs check/unchecked??I've tried all obvios
solutions!!

P.s I'm running Vista Home Premium
