Back up does not copy Onedrive Documents folder to external hard drive (even with local copy of Documents folder on my PC)

HiWhy does backup not copy the Onedrive documents folder to my external hard drive? It backs up Favourites, Downloads and other useless folders but will not back up my Onedrive documents folder which has all my important documents in! I have tried adding the folder to backup and deleting it. I have got "Keep a local copy on my PC" activated on my Documents folder so all my files are available locally on my pc (white tick in green circle next to each) and can select and copy them across to hard drive but backup won't do it for me.
