Audio devices not detected when plugged into Dell DisplayLink (Audio Service Continually Shutting Off)

I have an HP Envy running Windows 11 64-bit plugged into a Dell Universal Dock D6000 and two base-model Dell monitors. When I plug in my laptop (using either the USB-A or USB-C plug), my system says that no audio devices are detected - either input or output. Through troubleshooting, I have seen that the Windows Audio Service is shutting itself off for some reason. I can start it manually - but it just shuts itself back off after a few seconds.
