Asus X 512 FA laptop cant read any usb device

Hi1. my asus pc cant read any usb devic e though the usb ports can read any other plugged in device loke wired mouse ,portable external hard disk .2. please see screenshots below which show (a) first photo where the status of the usb device in device manager when usb device plugged in. (b) second photo shows status of device manager when usb device plugged out3. all known methods to rectify this defect has failked.the usb device does make a noise when inserted and removed but is never visible.
