Apps in phone link are using the wrong keyboard language and layout

On my Windows 11 PC, I open Phone Link (connected to my phone via bluetooth), and I go to the apps tab to open an app like Facebook Messenger. When I then go to type a message in Facebook Messenger using the phone link app on my computer, the keyboard input is wrong and all of the symbols are on different keys. It behaves as if the keyboard is using a different language layout like a Spanish keyboard or something like that.
