Append Completion feature not working for Open/Save dialog boxes

There exists a feature in Windows where if one has an Open or Save dialog box active (sometimes called the Common Item Dialog or CID) and starts typing either the name of a folder or the name of a file, Windows will "auto complete" or "append complete" the remaining characters that match what was typed.For example, if I have a directory "c:\temp" and I start typing "c:\te", Windows will fill in the remaining characters.
