Anytime I hit a "special" (cntrl, enter, ect.), my laptop restarts.

I am on a government issued Chromebook. I am unsure if this is the correct forum to be posting in. This morning, when I started up my laptop and tried to sign in, my laptop restarted after pressing the "e" key. This kept happening, and eventually I was able to sign in using the on screen keyboard. Trying to do my schoolwork restarted it to, and anime i pressed "control", "enter", "search" or the volume/brightness keys, my laptop restarted. I am writing this using the tablet mode for my chromebook. This has happened before, but I don't remember how I fixed it. Any help would be GREATLY apprecia
