Always show entire date in Teams chat history

I prefer to use international date format for my system (yyyy/mm/dd) as it makes sense.However, what this means is that in Teams, it will shorten chat history dates to mm/dd; which I don't like.What I'd like is for either it to use the full date at all times like it does for messages from last year or earlier, even for chat histories from the current year, or some way of fooling it to use dd/mm.
