Alphabet keys not working on login screen on windows 11 laptop

Hi ,I have windows 11 laptop 2 months old from Asus,but suddenly today the alphabet keys stopped working when I tried to login to my pc by entering the password....i even tried using an external key bord but still it didn't work, the number keys were working normally....I changed my password in numbers and logged in....but then all the keys were working perfectly fine....can I get some help pls
