All of a sudden I my microphone does not work in windows 11

I have checked all the usual settings and all the volume controls are 100% for mic input. In the control panel I did find that the mic was disabled in the recording tab so I enabled it. Still no mic sound. I am at a loss as to what to do now. I have also run the troubleshooter for audio to no avail. Any ideas would be appreciated
