Ai high performance mode turned on and it made my cpu very hot and now that i turned it off it wont go back to normal temperature

when i launched fortnite saying Ai high gaming performance enabled then my laptop fans were louder than normal by alot and after i turned it off and restarted my pc the cpu was hotter than normal
