Have a HP laptop running Windows 10 Home, OS build 19041.388. Automatic Windows 10 update turned on.

The June 2020 update hobbled the PC. Print drivers stopped working and gradually PC slowed down and then stopped working. Reset the PC on July 3.

After this reset the PC was usable and all programs worked fine. But still couldn't install print drivers. (Note: printer is on a network and other PCs print to it successfully. So did this PC before the June update.) Also the print to pdf feature stopped working.

July update KB4565503 installed July 16, 2020. Still can't install print drivers and print to pdf not working. (Checked for additional updates on 7/19/20 shows none.)

Tried to turn on Microsoft Print to PDF in the Turn Windows features on or off menu but this unsuccessful. Error code 0x800F0922. Tried to follow the Microsoft instructions on how to address this problem but the indicated subdirectories are not present

So 2 questions:

- how to get Windows to allow print driver installation after July 2020 update

- how to turn on Windows Print to PDF feature

Thanks.
