After installing Excel 2016 it opens to a grey screen with no buttons/cells are visible,

I installed Office 2016 on an Oracle virtual machine running Windows 11. After installing, when I open Excel it opens to a grey screen no buttons/cells/ribbons/menus are visible, though I can float my cursor over the screen it does change from the arrow pointer to the pointing finger. Though I can't see the buttons I can click on them like the red X to close the program. I can press the Ctrl F11 combination to go to the VBA code screen, which you view everything just fine. (?!?!?) Office suite having the same issue is Outlook, OneNote, Working Access, Powerpoint, and Word are working, (SQL
