Hey,
Thing is I bought a new Dell Inspiron 13 which comes with Windows 10 Home. I let the windows update to 1803 with updates automatically. Then, I used my Windows 10 Pro key to upgrade to Pro version, but I totally forgot that I had used that key previously in one of my other machines. Now windows was unable to activate. So I restored the older version with windows reset to 1703.
Now windows update is not showing up 1803 update. It keeps saying your device is up to date.
Things I tried -
1. Run windows update troubleshooter and let it fix.
2. Cleaned up C: with disk cleaner removing old windows installation files.
3. Deleted contents of softwaredistribution folder.
4. Downloaded windows media creation tool and tried to upgrade manually (it might have tried to upgrade to 1809), it got stuck at your pc with restart in a few moments for hours. So i had to cancel it.
5. Again cleaned up everything and tried windows update but it still says its up to date whereas it is at 1703 according to winver.
Regards,
Mandar
