Hello,
Recently cloned my old hard drive into a new SSD and when I loaded up windows I had no audio. I have a red x in the task bar and when i right click the speaker icon and then click playback devices there is nothing listed. It just says "No audio devices are installed." I have tried installing the audio drivers(from the hp website as well as a few others) for the system many times to no avail. I've tried uninstalling the audio drivers and reinstalling them with admin privileges to no avail. I've tried letting windows update install them to no avail. I've tried windows device manager detect and auto install to no avail. Im beginning to believe its not a driver issue but maybe windows doesn't recognize the internal speakers themselves. Is it possible HP has the wrong drivers listed for my configuration? I should add I had the beats audio software, not sure if hp has drivers for this anymore. My computer case has the little red Beats 'b' logo above the page up key on the right side of my keyboard. Anyways i'm at a loss.
Computer is an HP Pavilion Dv6t-7000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC with beats audio
Thanks to anyone who can figure this headache out! <3
