Administrator pin won't work on local account on new laptop

I am working on a new HP laptop for Windows 11 and am running into trouble using the administrator PIN on a local account. I set up a local account connected to my supervisor's microsoft account, and her PIN is necessary to make changes to the device/download certain things on the local account. However, for some reason it says her pin is incorrect. Her pin works on another laptop's local account, so we can't figure out what the issue is.
