Adding A Shortcut To Desktop Windows 11

I have Windows 11. I want to add a few shortcuts to my desktop for quicker access. I was able to before but I recently had to reset my computer and now I'm unable to put my shortcuts back up. Is there a reason I can no longer add the shortcuts for This PC, Control Panel, Run, Task Manager and File Explorer? All the tutorials I've found to do this only show me how to use the icons for them even when people have specifically asked how to do what I want to do. I've been able to do this in the past. Has something changed?
