Activation failing after installing Win11Pro on new drive (previous Win10 Pro)

I have been using a fully activated version of Win 10 Pro. I recently got a new hard drive, so thought I'd reinstall. I used the windows media creator, it by default installed Win 11 Pro, which it said would be fine. However now it won't activate with my old key. I've left my number with Support for them to call me, but they still haven't rung yet and it's been 4 days (I think). Can I ring them?
