Activate Windows 8.1 with Windows 11 Product Key

I wanted to activate my Windows 8.1 with a Windows 11 product key. Is this possible? I tried several times to enter the key but it doesn't work. The error message says:"This key didn´t work, please check it an try again, or try a different key"Thanks
