Accidently did something to text on my computer and now cant get it back

Hello, I have a HP laptop 15S-eq1xxx , Windows 11. its about 4 years old. I must say I am not computer literate. Storage on my computer is not full (78 GB of 118 GB) however my fan runs constantly (as im typing this now). I investigated and i have very high CPU. No idea why this is. Yesterday i did something to the text on my computer in Task Manager or some other setting, in an attempt to lower high CPU however i cannot remember what I did (memory problems).Basically the text is no longer smooth. Looks like the 1990s or somethingI would appreciate if anyone could tell me how to get this back
