About to get a new PC but can't locate product key

I'm just about to replace my 10 year old desktop but I can't locate the product key so I can transfer Microsoft office to the new set up.It's been so long since I had to install this software (and that was when I bought the product as new) that I was actually looking for a CD ROM to load it until I remembered that it was a new key rather than actual software from a discI've searched high and low but can't find the key anywhere.Is there any way of locating it from my existing PCI'm not sure what version of windows I'm using unfortunately Thanks
