2025-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5050009) will not complete after several restarts

Every time the PC is restarted the same message appears:Windows Update > Restart required. Your device will restart outside active hours.I have tried a number of fixes for updates from Microsoft but the problem remains. As a home user I'm not keen to try any of the fixes utilising tools beyond my expertise.The issue is critical, as I will not be able to install the February Windows update until the issue is resolved with the January update.Thanks for your help.
