Not actually a question (other than: Why?)(Automatic) installation of 2022-07 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 8.1 (x64) KB5015874 breaks Media Center. On the next start WMC reports the guide database to be corrupt and that it had been "restored".It is not.It is empty, such as is your recording schedule.It gets worse. When trying to re-setup your signals and channels, WMC crashes a lot (AccessViolationException, in something like RecoveryTask), and setting up a recording leads to an immediate crash.Resolution: Uninstall (and hide) KB5015874 (Thank you Green Button TV).
