0x800ccc0e outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders

I have recently added to email addresses to outlook to be synched. They work fine when I am at home, but once I connect my laptop back into the network at the office nothing happens with these two accounts. I get the following error message

0x800ccc0e outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders

I suspect this is to do with some sort of security setting. I have full admin rights, so should be able to change things if that is required. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
