Why can I not burn more than 7GB of data to a 50GB disk?
I am trying to backup with burn files to a BD-R DL 50GB disk. It stops and gives me the error 0x80071AC3.
The disks are new
No smudges, Latest firmware as of 2020, Windows 10 up to date
The disks are Philips BD-R DL 50GB,
Burner is internal LG WH14NS40 Blu Ray writer Firmware 1.5
The files originate from a 6TB usb hdd through usb 3.1 gen 2 dock
What I have done so far
Inserted disk
Formatted using file explorer it shows 45.6GB Free
23 files at 500MB or so each
I click burn to disk, the process runs as it should but around 7GB it stops and gives the above error. I have also tried copy and paste with same results
I can burn CDs and DVDs with no problems
I am not using 3 party software because all the past postings on this error
still the error is present. There are numerous complaints on this issue for many years and
I have not read any solutions to this as of yet.
