0x8007003a error on network folder

[Windows 11]

I'm using laptop with Windows 11 Home 24H2 build 26100.3037. I am trying to run Emby. My files are on external HD attached to router. I setup network folder on laptop which i can access and move files to but can't move files from. I'm having great difficulty getting any of my files to play because of the 0x8007003a error. Sometimes files (a mixture of different formats mp4/mkv etc) will play and sometimes they just stop for no reason and sometimes they will not play at all.I setup SMB features.
